you dont have to start out young dude , yeah it helps , but it depends how much time you spend on a bike really , and yeah like you said well its not about being fearless , its the amount of hours you clocked on a bike , and the pain fear thing in your brain, the little receptor that hinders you from doing this shit , in ppl who are good its switched off , just as it is with race car drivers , they worry about broken bones when it happens , not while racing/driving, bet you'll comment me back

Good point, everybody experiences fear when they first start jumping and hauling ass. its just a matter of overcoming that fear and learning to be comfortable w/ fast speed, jumps, and passing. Ive been riding for about 6-7. ive pushed myself as hard as possible, and i could prob. race, but im sure id be one of the slower guys. The fastest dudes start out when they are kids (i think because kids are more fearless and willing to learn to go faster/bigger.)

yeah to right dude you jusy gotta learn to switch that part of your brain off and push your self and clock up hours on your bike to gain confidence, yeah ive been riding for 6-7 years to i entered a race with my mate and he droped me in at the deep end he made me race with the class under the valey champs , so the dudes i raced with were quick as fuck i came last every heat but i had some wicked fun , and learned abit more about my self on a bike what i can and cant so so i was well happy :)

there are loads of tracks in engand but the quality is crap some tracks are ruff as fuck and some tracks are marked of by those wooden sticks that have been sharpend at the end if you landed on one it would go straight through you but there are some good tracks.
