"SexyBack" is a song co-written and performed by the American singer Justin Timberlake for his second solo album FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006). It features Timbaland on backing vocals, and earned Timberlake and Timbaland the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. It was produced by Timbaland, Timberlake and Nate "Danja" Hills and released as the album's lead single on July 7, 2006. "SexyBack" is Timberlake's most successful single in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United States, reaching the number one spot in all of these countries.
"SexyBack" was the longest-running number one single of 2006 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, staying seven weeks at the top, and the second-longest chart-topping single released that year, behind only Beyoncé's "Irreplaceable", which spent ten weeks at number one -- 3 weeks in 2006 and 7 weeks in 2007.
The music video for "SexyBack" was shot in a luxury building in Barcelona, and features the Spanish actress Elena Anaya (Sex and Lucía, Van Helsing).
Originally, director Michael Haussman wanted to feature French actress Eva Green (best known as the Bond girl from Casino Royale) but she declined twice.[citation needed]
The music video for the song is said to be inspired by the video for Madonna's "Take a Bow", also directed by Michael Haussman. The video was first shown on MTV's Making the Video on July 25. The video was placed at #4 of 2006 on the VH1 Top 40 Music Videos of the Year. According to Billboard, "SexyBack" is currently the second-highest selling single in a week during 2006, behind only "Hips Don't Lie" by Shakira featuring Wyclef Jean, which set the record in June. "Hips Don't Lie" sold 267,000 digital downloads, while "SexyBack" sold 250,000 digital downloads. "SexyBack" stayed at number one in the United States for seven weeks and has sold in excess of 2,000,000 digital downloads since its release.
"SexyBack" has also peaked at #1 in Brazil, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand and Norway, and has peaked at #2 in Switzerland and Belgium. On the united world chart, "SexyBack" has peaked at #1 for 10 consecutive weeks, becoming his first worldwide #1 single, and has sold over 6,000,000 units worldwide.
SexyBack is een single van de Amerikaanse zanger Justin Timberlake. Het is zijn eerste single van zijn tweede album FutureSex/LoveSounds en is uitgebracht op 7 juli 2006 (2 maanden voor het album was uitgebracht). Het betekende een comeback voor Timberlake na enkele jaren in de luwte te hebben gewerkt (op het gebied van muziek) en de eerste single in 3 jaar, met uitzondering van Snoop Dogg's Signs waar Timberlake aan mee werkte. SexyBack verkocht in zijn eerste week meteen 250.000 singles op het internet. Ook bleef het 7 weken op nummer 1 staan in de Billboard hitlijst.
SexyBack bevat een sample van de stem van Timbaland, die tevens producer is van deze single. De track is geschreven door Timberlake en Nate Hills.
Een klein gedeelte van de videoclip werd op 21 juni 2006 openbaar gemaakt op het internet. De volledige versie is uitgebracht op 6 juli. De videoclip is opgenomen in een gebouw in Barcelona. Dit in tegenstelling tot de intro van de video waar een Duitse stem op de televisie te horen is. De vrouw die samen met Timberlake in de clip te zien is, heet Elena Anaya, een Spaanse actrice.
RTL 4 is een commerciële Nederlandstalige Luxemburgse televisiezender die sinds 1989 uitzendt op de Nederlandse televisie. Gemeten in kijkcijfers is het momenteel een van de best bekeken zenders van Nederland.
RTL 4 valt onder RTL Nederland (voorheen de RTL/de Holland Media Groep), samen met RTL 5, RTL 7 en RTL 8. RTL 4 startte onder de naam RTL-Véronique op 2 oktober 1989 als jongerenzender, maar werd in de loop van 1990 omgedoopt in RTL 4.. RTL 4 heeft een aantal veranderingen doorgemaakt vooral in 1998 toen het logo en programmering een vernieuwing kreeg. Het logo van RTL 4 is in de zomer van 1990, de herfst van 1990 en in 1998 veranderd. Sinds juni 2004 heeft RTL 4 andere leaders en bumpers en op 12 augustus 2005 kreeg RTL 4 opnieuw een nieuw logo. Op 1 juni 2007 stapte heel RTL Nederland over op breedbeeld. Met deze verandering kreeg RTL 4 ook een nieuwe huisstijl waarin de sterren van RTL 4 centraal staan.
