Rich in symbolism, this gothic fairytale is a real gemstone in both character design and animation... and it must be seen to be believed.

To explain it, he is based on the Irish Myth of the Dark headless-Horseman and He was born in an era when laughing and smiling about books was taboo and so when she gives him this "Comedy" book he is relieved and can laugh, that's all he's wanted from his existence. He does eat them as he is a Demon, not a vampire a Demon and it is Denny, but I think that is japanese translation. I love that a country that I admire did an Anime about the country I'm from...Brilliant!!!

Does anyone know who sings this version of Ave Maria in the background? It's so beautiful that it's driving me crazy trying to find it. Just listening to it makes me cry.
