I loved Rod with Jeff Beck, loved him with Faces...up to and including Never a Dull Moment (although technically not billed as Faces, still had key elements, ie.: Plonk, Woody, Mac and Kenny, as well as others) After Nod's As Good As a Wink, that was it. It was over, so far as I was concerned. Fin. Done.
While always admiring his singing abilities, I hated that quasi-disco prattle, Crossing The Atlantic, etc. Crap. never bought another LP, tape, or disc of his.

It was Stewarty who lost his I.D. and cred after he left the Faces. Still respect him tremendously, tho' for the JBG and Faces material.

I was watching a rod stewart documentory the other day where he said that when he was with the faces he just wanted be part of the faces but the record companies and show promoters kept advertising them as Rod Stewart and The Faces which he didn't like .

Really hoping that Rod can turn back the clock and drop the 'American Classics'-stuff just long enough to make this reunion tour as good as we're all anticipating!
