so..this past march a boy in my grade died in a tragic dirtbike accident. his parents played this song along with I can only imagine at his funeral, so now i cry every single time i hear this song. I am going to see steven curtis chapman and michael w smith in concert in about two weeks and i hope one of them sings this song, I would love to hear so many people singing this song together.

Statistics show the more educated an individual, the less likely they are to be religious or believe in a god. 72% of the National Academy of Sciences members have a 'personal disbelief in god' and another 20% claim 'doubt or agnosticism'. 850,000,000 people around the world are Atheist, Agnostic or Non-Religious. That's more than 1 out of 10 people, making up the 4th largest belief group. Less than 1% of the US prison population is 'atheist'. Does make you wonder.

Humanity has lost a lot of ground to religion already. Some conservative estimates say our civilisation should be one to two thousand years more advanced than it is at the moment. obviously scientists are going to believe in god less as the majority of scientific minds renounce intelligent design. this argument, while apparently neutral, is actually a logical fallacy. a classic example of post hoc ergo proctor hoc. the belief in god has been linked to the belief in intelligent design.
