Hollywood watch this movie carefully. This is Persia! Persians were civilised peace loving people. They declared the first human right. In Persia slavery was considered as an inhuman act. The woman had the same rights as man. Some cities ruled totally by woman. In Persia ruled several queens. In ancient Persia people had FREEDOM of speach, freedom of religion. Courts even could judge against their kings! Persia had federal system, long before usa! Don't make political films again, don't insult ancient Persians! Persia is as old as history, respect please!

Thanks again for these wondeful facts that are never mentioned anywhere, except in advanced persian history classes. other wise it's greek this or greek that. and then there is glorification of romans who had barbaric practices like torture, and gladiators. wow ! what a contribution romans had!It's about time to give the great nation of iran the credit that it desreves! the truth shall prevail. long live the memory of persian emperors, long live iran!

The Persian community on campus is trying to begin a series of Persian history classes. Over the next few years, our plan is to start three Persian history classes, which will span from before the Achaemanian Empire to modern day, post-revolutionary Iran. But our struggle lies with starting the first class.

As a Greek, I thank U for this video, very informative indeed. Just some points,Queen Artemisia was actually Greek from Alikarnassos, fighing very bravely on the Persian side at Salamis (like in every epoch, politics was blurry). Alexander, admired Persian culture a lot, but historians and forensics believe he got alcohol poisoning and his body, due to too many wounds, and wild partying, gave out. Both our ancestors were the Titans of the Ancient World.
Lets all try to be worthy of them!

good video, check out my videos very similar. However I don't care if anyone "forgets" us like you put it, Iranians should remember all these things and that's all that matters, I don't care for the opinion of the other nations.

@kalkanis1, thanks for your comment. I don't know Artemis was a Greek or not. I know Greek had slaves and woman in Athen had not more rights than slaves, woman were just like slaves. Persian woman were very important in ancient Persia and I think Alexander was indeed poisoned because some historians say that and is more logical to me because he called himself as a Persian Achaemenid King.

the history what will be used and is very readable for european and american was written by european , also it is not objectiv ,but more subjectiv . if they read always that they had weak empires and they had sometimes good luck to win the fight , nobody would read that . and nobody would interest in own european history .(heroes made in hollywood)
