Milstein has been a favorite violinist of mine since I can remember. His recording of the Bach Chaconne is one of the greatest masterpeices I have ever heard. This recording has not been heard that much I think so enjoy!

I absolutely love this piece...it brings lots of memories of hearing this being played by my father, who passed away 2 yrs ago from cancer. This has always been my favorite piece that he played, matter of fact he played it for me at my baptism a year before he passed away.
My father was a professional violinist who had been playing both locally and internationally for over 50 years.
Thanks for bringing back the memories of him for me.

I love it! I used to play this piece ovbiously not in the same league as him. modern players are just amateurs compared to the old greats its a shame. Only vengerov plays with any kind of emotion.

Vengerov is the only modern violinist that I consider destined to be on the short-list of great violinists in history. His ingenuity, creativity, passion, incredible inborn talent, and ability to see music in a unique way (similar to Glenn Gould), will one day become as historical as Milstein's legacy. Give Vengerov some time though, he's still very young.
