It's actually not about his da at all. He got the idea for the song watching one of his kids flying a kite on the beach on holiday. The song he wrote about his da is Sometimes You Can't Make It.

A while before this concert his dad died, that's why he is so sad, u all should buy or download or whatever, this whole concert. He drops on his knees cuz well it must be kinda hard when ur dad has died just a day or few days before ur own concert and he didnt want to cancel it.
