There have been many "tortured" geniuses in history, from Van Gogh to Tchaikovski, and nobody considers their personalities to judge them as artists. I don´t know if Buckley is a genius (time will say) but he is for sure a great musician.
Dont blame his work just cuz it has an effect on influenceable people. If they are influenceable, anything will do it anyway, and there is no thing as a "good influence", people should think for themselves: if they don´t, its not Buckley´s fault.

Everyone consideres Van Gogh's and Tchaikovski's personalities. Van's ear-chopping and Tchaikov playing piano in a brothel is public knowledge.
I don't concern myself with the masses. As an artist $ley is different.
In his identity as a submissive control freak his "poor little self" is the typical theme of his art.
It's $ley's archetype I reject. So I mock it and if I can help just one emo kid out of his funk I'll consider my work to be successful.

Unbelievably awesome song. There is no one that can match him in my opinion. The vocal range, the emotion in his voice, his writing and his playing.
