Yup it seems like it everywhere. We have a regular panel programme in the UK called Question Time. "Ordinary" people can go on to ask questions of their choice to politicians of the day but even so its "managed".

Yup. We're working on enlightening our fellow pubbies in my state; progress is steady. Lotta folks coming in from the long, dark night of the neocon reign of error. Still lots more wandering around bumping into the scary furniture though, cursing those terrible liberals and fretting over finding SOME way to recruit more Republicans.... (LOL)

Nope, it's just the sound of America waking up from the neocon nightmare. Liberals, conservatives, and everyone else, all rejecting rule by fear and choosing hope. Your posts are pure FUD and are as meaningless as a Sean Hannity tantrum.

They bar Ron Paul from Iowa, then hide from this debate!?!
Sure, that may be smart politics, but it shows their lack of character.

I am on the techRepublican mailing list. I am a Republican, and I am heavily invested in technology. I post original stuff on YouTube, I work at Slashdot. I even submitted a question for the GOP YT debate.
And I thought the YouTube debates were boting and stupid, and I hope they don't ever do it again. It doesn't just lower the bar to get involved, it lowers the bar for interesting and intelligent discussion.

So you're saying Republicans are too special to be reduced to stupid questions. Do you have kids? Would you answer their "stupid questions?" I would because how are they going to learn about the world or how I think? Should a Commander in Chief be afraid of questions from his own citizens? The POTUS is the father (or could me mother) of the U.S.A. He/she cannot ignore his/her children's questions.
Let's get to the ... ( 1 year ago by ninjitsuski)
Let's get to the heart of the the republican phobia for answering serious questions from citizen made videos. It's CNN. They (most republicans) think that CNN is "liberal." They don't want to be twisted by the "liberal machine." Just my opinion.
P.S. If the POTUS asked you to jump off a cliff with not specific reason, would you? Or would you stop and ask for his reasoning behind his order? BTW,you're not in the military when he asks you to destroy your life. THINK!

What was "stupid" about the YOUTUBE/CNN debate? Media bias? Questions? Anderson? I'd like to know since I only saw some slightly liberal citizens asking hard questions to the candidates. How 'bout when Anderson asked if it was true that Edwards supported women more than Hilary did? You think that was a soft question? Enlighten me (seriously, I'm not patronizing you, I'm just half baked college student looking for answers).

I don't think it's a matter of tough questions. Since Fox has gotten its stigma of being totally editorial and right wing, I don't think Democrats would like that kind of historical backdrop in their debate. It like Republican phobia of "liberal" CNN. Since when did the news get politically biased? Am I just noticing it now because I am older?
