I know!!!! I wish you all could see how it really looks, but for the max file size Youtube has this was the best I could get it. It makes me sad because you all miss out on the layers and ghost images.

What music is this? Sounds like Bedhead or Low, kind of. Also, do you know what kind of camera was used? Was it Super 8mm or Standard 8mm? I just bought an old Keystone Standard 8mm camera, and I'm trying to figure out how to load it. This is total inspiration for me. :) I especially like the frame-by-frame of the fire.

The music was done by Mogwai, called Take Me Somewhere Nice. All of the footage was done on various super 8 cameras, though personally I rely on my trusty Minolta super 8 D4.

I tried looking up the Keystone model to see if I could give you any tips for loading, but I couldn't anything on the subject. But if I assume they use something like the Kodak Tri-X reels it's as simple as open, insert (the side with the film exposed goes towards the lens), and close. Easy as loading a gun, and twice as sexy.

Now the scene with the fire was actually done in post with editing filters and time manipulation, but a similar effect can be done by setting the cameras frames per second option (if available) to 24fps. Just don't make the same mistake I always do, the higher the fps the slower it looks, lower= faster. A real pain in the ass since there's only one place in all of Washington State that sells and develops 8mm film. WTF Kodak get on that *ish.
