The people that put animal abuse protestors down are people that are too lazzy to help, too ignorant, or too selfish. All they want is for the animals to give them viewing pleasure without having to think of their beatings and their suffering everyday.

SERIOUSLY!! I think its time for us to STOP watching and supporting circuses with LIVE animals!
Look at Cirque de Soleil, they entertain people without the need of animals.
Kudos to them!
p.s. Singapore has since banned circuses with LIVE animals since 1995! I, too, have stop watching it since i have learned that the animals are not well-treated.

These poor animals are tortured at the hands of man in order to have them perform tricks for entertainment purposes. Please research "circuses" to see the cruelty that is inflicted on performing animals. It's heartbreaking.

Me, too. We saw Carson & Barnes in our town and I was so excited to go. Then I saw how scruffy and dull-eyed the performing poodles were. The capper was seeing the elephants swaying back and forth when tied out after the show. That's akin to a person nervously wringing his hands, extreme duress. :( I researched and saw the video of their "trainer". I will no longer attend circuses unless they are, as you say, like Cirque de Soleil. As kids, we don't know. As adults, we need to know better.

Its so sad!!! 2008...2009 is ciming and STILL circuses are using animals in their shows!!
The best way to stop this is NOT TO GO TO CIRCUSES!
