Obama Heckled on African American Issues

ST.PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A day after John McCain's campaign accused Barack Obama of having "played the race card," the senator from Illinois was confronted by self-described members of the "International African Revolution" concerned he doesn't talk enough about race.
A boisterous town hall meeting in the Gibbs High School gym here was repeatedly interrupted by activists from the International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement, a pan-African socialist group, who accused Obama of ignoring the plight of poor blacks targeted by predatory lenders, police brutality and racist attacks. Obama tried to calm the situation, with assists from a supportive crowd that shouted the hecklers down.

Not a Bush fan myself. But a lot of the policies he tried to pass got shot down by our liberal congress. People blame Bush for all the bad things that have happened in the last 8 years but they for get that the Democrat controlled congress should have a lot of the blame on them as well.
I am terrified for our country if Obama gets elected. A liberal president backed by a liberal congress?! we may as well just let the government control every aspect of our lives now to get used to it.

Lesson: Do the research, read, and factcheck before you show up to heckle someone. The heckler only wins if he/she is actually correct. However, that's not the case here. Obama did speak out on those issues, and his schooled them.

Obama seems to think that he has no obligation to black Americans or black people period even though he is one according to the historical one-drop rule that still applies to poor and unknown blacks. He is not subject to regular black treatment because he is rich and famous. If he weren't he would be singing a different song because then he would be subject to racism and discrimination from whites and other non-white groups in this country. A change of skin color is no change at all.

Obama is actually one of the few African-Americans in the United States, since he has an African father and an American mother. US blacks should embrace their culture instead of emulating the one of a continent where most of them have never even been, or have a direct relationship with.

please dont take this comment as rudeness- but what is your point? Are you saying that the bible is futile due to the fact that men wrote it. Can you beleive that God can use anybody on this planet to do as he pleases.
