if your definition of emo is self-hatred and love for self-mutilation, then i'm sorry but you are mistaken.
if your definition of emo is to put all your heart and soul and emotions into making a song and performing it, then yes, this is emo.
but doesn't that mean most of your own favourite bands are emo as well? unless you are telling me your favourite bands do not put any emotion at all in their songs.

thats a way too romantic kind of view. emo is emotional and characterized by... goth/punk attitude, the interesting clothes XD, and sometimes self mutilation. however much mcr says they are not emo, they are. which doesnt mean they're not good, they just are. and i do like their songs XD just kinda creeped out by the skulls on the cover
