Wow... you're right, there's some similarity in the lyrics as well.
And I thought Bono's plagiarism was only with the melody/chord structure.
To his credit, at least the whole song isn't a duplicate of the classic majestic ballad by Paul Waaktaar.
(Also, I'm not saying this is intentional plagiarism. George Harrison always claimed he wasn't aware he 'borrowed' from "He's So Fine"... but he lost the law suit anyway... because the majority of the song sounded like the earlier record.)
My mom was driving home after my grandpa died in the hospital and when she turned on the radio this was the song that was playing. It was a sign from God. :)
