Wow, this is from the Ed Sullivan Show! I first heard Harry in about 1956-57. We were living temporarily in Indio, California and my brother who was about 15, bought three LP's, one of which was Harry Belefonte. I remember how exotic Belefonte's music sounded then. This is a classic. Thanks so much for posting.........!!

i don´t think so...i still love his music and i think his songs were very honest and natural.
it´s sad that today´s music is more about drugs,sex and stuff like that.that´s music that no one will remember in a few years cause it´s not truely sung from the heart but produced to make money..that´s sad and kinda pathetic.

Love this song when i was a kid I had a penpal from Kingstontown and a couple of years ago I said to my sis it would be nice to visit Blossom Johnson after so many years of not hearing from her and Anne said to me, Jude she leaves in London now, I had to laugh because we are both English living in Austria!How the world changes around I just never expected that answer, still a great song!
