The whole point of the song is to address some of the world's biggest issues. Racism, religion, even (if interpreted a certain way) lies from the government.(That last one's just my take on it.) The video is supposed to expand on that and express the line "We're livin on the edge." The video shows cross-dressing, teenage violence, and stealing as other major issues. It shows the "livin on the edge" by them being in danger and making it, such as the train and crashing the car.
