I'm not sure which round this was, or if it was just him after he had already won, but either way these performances are flawless and amazing. Yundi Li is in my top 5 pianists of all time.

cant answer your question, but i dont think it serves yundi li right to be compared to lang lang. lang lang aka "bang bang" lacks yundi li's intellect and is just a media made clown...

I feel worthless only been playing guitar and been doing music for 3 years... and electric guitar for that matter. I love composing and listening to classical music. I hate the selfishness and imperialism of china. but I think there have been many great individual persons. maybe Yundi Li is one of them as best pianist. his advanced technique and emotion feel excellently harmonized to me, who don't know well about classic.

wow! I wish that I could play so well. Right now I'm working on some pretty hard things, but I probably won't be able to get them as perfect as how he plays.

This was definitely a competitive round, given the audience's reaction to his introduction - not the "winner's applause" as one would expect at the beginning if he had already won.
18 years old - I was still just trying to keep my room clean at that age.
