You know looking at this vid and seeing how much fat this guy lost I cannot help but ask myself - with absolutly no other problems such as stretch marks? Why no one mentions this as part of the problem as well? You cannot just go after so much time losing so much weight and end up without any scar which the stretch marks definately are. So can anyone answer me?

Why do you have to have stretch marks? Seems those would be more likely from GAINING a lot of weight quickly than losing it. What people worry about with losing is "loose skin." Skin is flexible and with proper nutrition will shed and regenerate. The problem most people with loose skin are either: losing weight too fast, losing the wrong way (diet, no exercise), improper nutrition, but also genetic factors and age.

My problem is not loose skin, what I am bothered with are stretch marks. I have them on my biceps and upper hips. They are not so bad as one might think but still they bothers me....alot. I got them from gaining weight quite rapidly. I have hoped they would be gone somehow or at least be by far less visible. I was in top shape a few years ago but then I just stopped and got fat, now I am coming back. I've lost over 55 pounds and I still plan to loose 25(ish) more, still sm's bother me.

I want to hear the experience by people who lost this much fat as well, how did they cope with this problem, did they even had this problem, how the sm's appear after toning your body so that you barely have any fat, etc. I never ever hear anything about this.

That's a good question. Toning can definitely help make them "less visible" but the largest impact for you will be to make sure you are getting quality, healthy fats (these help rebuild the skin) and exfoliate regularly. Some people swear by rubbing coconut cream on the area over prolonged time. The most severe cannot be completely removed.

Well I understand they cannot be removed, the damage is already done. The main problem is the guilt and blame I have towards myself because I was in perfect shape and I had quite good skin, now I don't if I'll ever go for a swim, even if (or when) I go back to having 6-pack. Nevertheless thank you for your answers.

Everything you said... I was actually thinking about last night.. If i believe I can run more, I'll do it, but if I tell myself OK just one more lap.. that's usually what I'll end up doing. I noticed that the road block of not being able to lose fat was my thinking.. u hit the nail head on
